find areas on the lake for burbs that are 30-60' but are not steep more kinda gradual with a sandy bottom which is most of the lake anyways...I know a few years ago people would stay in those depths not too far off the marina area for burbs...bang the bottom hard to create a disturbance and then lay your baited jig on the bottom or just off the bottom and see what happens...whole herring, half a herring, sucker belly, hot dog...ya never know what they will hit though.
