Default My version of Bigos: Polish Hunter's Stew

All that talk about Heritage Days, and events in Eastern Europe got me to cooking.

I actually have KGB popping by to pick something up and I wanted to gift him with a snack.

I made up my own version of Bigos. Hunter's Stew in eastern Europe only has rules of cabbage (often sauerkraut), meat, sausage if you have, and something sweet like dates or prunes.

Sour
Salty
Sweet

All over creamy Yukon Gold mashed potatoes with lots of butter, cream, and lots of fresh dill from the garden.

This is honestly a superior comfort food. Normally, I use pork and game and garlic sausage, but honestly this was just as good.

If you ordered it at a bistro in Krakow or Lviv, you would feel you got your money’s worth.
