Even Cheddite primers were above $100 locally, when I bought some this winter. My cost to load 410 and 28 gauge target loads was around $9 per box this winter, compared to under $6, a year ago. But with factory 410 and 28 at $23 per box, it is still a huge savings. 12 gauge costs over $10 per box, because you use more shot and powder, but you can buy them on sale for $11-12. At $1-2 per box savings, it will take several years just to pay off a press for 12 gauge.
