Yeah, there is a bit of difference in power but I get a lot more range with the smaller engine. I am planning some bigger trips to remote areas, so range and fuel economy is an important component.

Last years rig went back to the dealer in the fall of 2023. It’s an amazing boat, but I am doing g some product development work with Princecraft and wanted to run a different model myself to be able to provide better input on some potential tweaks and features to add.

I got the new rig out on the water in southern Sask today. Still breaking in the motor, but top speed with a full load (gas, gear, and three adults) is about 36 mph on GPS. Ran around the lake for a couple hours and fuel gauge is still reading full, so that is promising.

Managed to slime the boat too.
