Fish management is interesting in a closed stocked pond. Last year they put a lot of very large fish into the lake. The residents of the lake community pay specifically for these fish to be put in. I agree fully that the fish need to "last" until the next time they stock the lake for sure. LOL- I agree that fish from a stocked lake NEVER need to be freezer fillers, seriously what's the point. I'm not a big fan of how these fish from stocked ponds taste anyways. I agree with the clipped tail thing, u-u-ugly - Ive had the pleasure of having MANY kids catch their first fish in that lake (3 more last week)...All this to say, when I go to Tofino over the long weekend, I pray that my freezer will be able to accomodate the Salmon and the Halibut swimming out there right now with my name on them.
