Spruce trees are great for the cover they provide .. yes they will shelter you from rain and the elements on the dat of thge rain ,but they shower you with water all the next day while they drip dry.. also have to contend with the sticky sap.. poplars are good because you usually don't have much trimming to do and can quite often use a climber. Don't really care which one I sit in as long as I see game..
