He was scouting a river crossing that tracks showed was getting a lot of use.
He looked around at the crossing and the layout and talked about the wind direction. Then he pointed at a tree and said "I'm going to shoot a buck out of that tree." And he did.


If possible I will choose the tree I'd prefer to have a stand in. But sometimes the very best tree, location wise, is the tree I go into, even if it is not the type of tree I prefer.
