Not everyone has the time or location to become an elite....I mean "real" bow hunter.
And as far as people not seeing crossbows being used,well who in their right mind wants to be out in the bush trying to get close to an animal....all the while hoping some bullet doesn't come by?
Oh I forgot the xbow can shoot just as far as rifles... 
Getting shot sure would be fun......
