i know that on the 6 L engines there are multiple compoents that are grounded throught the engine ecm. that is what it sounds like is happening on your truck. check the fuses for the battery and ignition wires of the engine ecm. if they are ok, your ecm may be toast. the ground for the fuel pump may not be activating if the ecm has no power, or if there is an internal fault.
