Winchester 1876 NWMP Saddle Ring Carbine - Care/Maintenance Help
Hi All,
Attached are a couple photos of Winchester 1876 NWMP Saddle Ring Carbine that I need help determining the best way to bring it back to life. As you can tell it has had quite the adventure.
The NWMP ordered about 1200 of these and utilized them from 1878 -1914. These rifles have a arched 'NWMP' stamped on the stock. I am not sure how many of these rifles are still in circulation. I just recently inherited this rifle from my father (retired RCMP) who I believe obtained it from his Grandfather (retired NWMP). If anyone has any additional information on this rifle, it would be very helpful.
