I am 99.9% sure that it's the.308NM. My grandpas cousin who knew the gunsmith that he bought it from at the time confimed, and there's also a box of NM with the load data written on it in the safe.
Interesting thought on the trading of the giftcard, hadn't thought of it but a great idea.
