Beaver tail and beans is a bush delicacy in these parts.

Back in the eighties some of the fur buyers bought beaver tails, skinned.

They had the leather made into high value leather products but there wasn't enough demand to keep that segment of the market going so it didn't last long, about ten or twelve years as I recall.

I think the problem was the leather was just not big enough for most potential products.

It's too thin for boot leather and too small for anything more then a knife sheath cover or a wallet.

So, you could skin it out, make beaver tail and beans plus tan the leather and make yourself a killer knife sheath of wallet like no one else has.
