A 6.5 bullet exicting the barrel at 3,000 FPS is just that - regardless of the case it got loaded into.
The various 6.5 cartridges are all great, the only ceiling and drawbacks being pressure and of course action length if a person is going to use it in a particular length .
Barrel life may concern some hunters but it is a non issue for most serious competitors , barrels wear out - period
The 6.5 PRC will survive if the people that want it keep using it, otherwise it will become another " has been " with limited sales and a small cult following .
