Love these flies, there's just something about the horizontal presentation that trout love. I like having the option to tie it balanced or regular style.
I use these in flowing water to prospect as well, especially with a season like this where we've saw a lot of rain in central alberta. Try dropping a nymph on the back, double up your chances of hooking up. Like you said, hang on....
