Sounds like a stand up guy that made an awfully tragic mistake. We have all
made mistakes, some are just larger and more catastrophic than others.

An awful lot of big game was killed with the .30-06 including the big bears before everyone became affluent enough to own a rifle for every species of game they might hunt.
