Realistically nothing,
Its a slice between the 270 (same trajectory, slightly heavier bullets and a little more KE) and the 30-06 (a little flatter, not as heavy bullets and a little less recoil).
Had one and loved it until I caught the AI bug, went 280 AI and as blasphemous as it sounds is now 'the rifle'
Truth be told, writing was on the wall that the 280 was not going to last so I went the AI route, if it looked like it would have hung on I would still be shooting a 280 Remington and nothing but.
Its a great caliber and cool to boot, but does nothing that the 270 and 30-06 wont
