I used to think that the stories of guys not knowing what kind of ammo their gun uses were urban legends.
And then, last week at WSS Calgary.
A guy walks up to the counter and asks the salesperson if the box of dies are the right ones for his gun. The guy is right beside me and I can see the box is labelled 300 Savage.
Salesperson asks if the gun is chambered for 300 Savage.
The guy states that the gun is a savage.
Salesperson asks what kind of ammo the gun shoots.
The guy says 300 mag.
Salesperson asks 'which one?'
The guy says 'what do you mean?'
The discussion went on for a bit. I have to say that the salesperson was very patient.
I wouldn't have believed it if I wasn't right there.
Not sure if the guy was trolling the salesperson or if there were hidden cameras set up.
