Times are tough and I understand why some Trappers need money ASAP rather than waiting a couple of months for auction. I hope to hell that this isn’t the beginning of a trend though. If Trappers stop supporting FHA and it folds, we’ll go back to being at the mercy of buyers as it was decades ago. That’s why FHA was created by Trappers in the first place. They were tired of being raped by “Take it or leave it” buyers.

Fur auctions dictate the market prices and without FHA Trappers will never again see $140 averages on Western Heavies. It’ll be $90 - $100 averages forever if we’re lucky. Buyers can’t be blamed to buy at $100 and resell the same pelts at $140, it’s just good business. The blame will lie with Trappers for not supporting FHA.

Unless you’re starving, facing eviction or something else that you need money immediately for, Trappers really need to send their fur to FHA. More fur attracts more buyers......More buyers bidding on your fur equals more money for your fur. Without FHA we are hooped. Think about it.
