I’m a fan of Yamaha outboards for new (last 10 years). Have a 20 year old Johnson 9.9 (Suzuki really) 4 stroke on my 14’ aluminum now and with just me in it, I rarely have it at full throttle. For aluminum 12 – 14’ I think the 9.9 is all you need and no registration required.
