Last year bulls where I hunt were bugling from Aug 25 through until Nov 10th. In 2009 I killed a bugling bull on Oct 31st right after he bred a cow. I find that where I hunt the rut usually starts getting good Sept 17 with the peak around Sept 22-25 and then tails off from there
