I had a set of Leupold 10x42 BX-2 Mojaves that stopped focusing in one eye. I sent them in last fall and they replaced them with the 10x42 BX-4 Pro Guides. Man, what a difference in light transmission.
I can't comment on the 8x30s, but the BX-4 was far better than the BX-2s.
