I have a bunch of 2 3/4 x 1 1/4oz #5 over (IIRC) 70 gr of FFF. My uncle loaded these up a couple years ago for me, along with a couple boxes of 7 1/2s. However, upon eating those birds (not many pheasants make it into the freezer at my house) I think he may have got some of them mixed up. The Hun and rooster #1 folded hard, and I am pretty sure they were hit with #5s (most passed right through). When I shot rooster #2, he dropped into the sweet clover and came up again when I got to where he went down. I had to hit him again. I found some shot in that one and it was a lot smaller than #5!

Oh well.
