The Liberals are trying to ram it through now, hoping that voters will forget by next election but the PC will insure it remains front and centre at election time.

It all depends on the political climate. We have to remember that killing the registry was another nail in the coffin for the PC's that allowed Trudeau to get elected. Old stock Canadians are dying off. Demographics are changing. New thinking Socialist minded mommy government loving Canadians are replacing them/us. Gov't's create policy based on what they think will appeal to the most people, unfortunately it has little to do with what is right or wrong or whether it will be effective. If gun owners, hunters and shooters were a majority of the population the Liberals and Trudeau would be kissing our butts.
