Mossberg 140 K : Manufactured 1955-1958 with period correct Bushnell "Scope Chief" 8x with A.O.
According to Nick Stroebel's book, "Old Rifle Scopes", Bushnell's first scopes marketed in the U.S.in 1953 were called the Scopemaster series in 2.5x, 4x & 6x power. The following year, they were renamed the Scopechief series in 2.5x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 10x & 3x9 variable and were produced until 1965,

Mossberg 142K: Manufactured 1953 - 1957. Have not found a "Scope Chief" to fit on it but the ScopeCheif IV 2.5x 8 works great.
