In 1935 the Savage "S" models came out with this peep sight and hooded front sight with 3 inserts as shown on my Model 4 C, 5 and 6 gopher guns.

They all seem to like Remington Cyclones as shown on this target where I sighted the Model 5 S in. Little tricky to adjust the peep but shoots very well, even with my old eyes.
