Nothing wrong with using a xbow all season. Whether it is any better or worse than a bow (or gun) really comes down to personal preference. Personally I think the pros of the xbow are that it takes less practice to shoot accurately. For me the negatives are weight, risk (once cocked it usually stays that way for a while), and reloading speed.
