When I switched to vap's I was in the same boat. My quiver held them, but not tight enough for my liking. I am a Mathews guy, and I run 2-piece quivers. So I found and bought the old style Mathews quiver which has adjustable arrow grippers and I run it with the new style top. It works beautifully.
Sorry I can't help with what material to add to your quiver. I'm surprised somebody doesn't make replacment grippers for all the common quivers for these newer ultra small diameter arrows.
