Don't forget that Sauer has now entered that $1000-ish class with the model 100 (that uses M700 mounts) and Tikka has 'added value' with the similarly priced T3x.

The world is awash with affordable polymer detach mag, generic push feed actions with trigger saftey's that have decent adjustable triggers and plastic stocks (or basic walnut/beech for a couple hundred more). Its got to be a c market driven largely by advertising, endorsements or focusing on inconsequential price differences, as opposed to difference in rifle quality, which across these common makes/models has got to be getting close to identical (Hotellings Law?)

I would love to see the Bergara wood stocks.
