What you'll notice in this thread is that the more experienced guys have a tendancy to limit their shots to reasonable distances as most have experienced the unexplainable bad shot that was taken with the bravado and false confidence of inexperience and have learned from it.
Yes we've all seen the videos of the sniper type shooters shooting things at 1000+yds, what they don't show you is the many misses and wounding shots that were edited, big game animals deserve more respect than the Taliban.
