This evening I grab the Foxpro and the .204 and head 5 miles from where I was this morning. First thing I noticed was the difference in the snow cover between the river hills and the area I was now at. I set up on the downwind side of a large bush patch and start off with pup yelps. Its not long and I have a coyote at the edge of the bush but a fair distance away. The coyote disappears back into the bush and after 5 minutes I switch over to Vole squeaks, which obviously got the coyotes attention as it brings this big male trotting into the field. A bark and a 125 shot has him down.
Back to the river hills tomorrow morning as there is a dead cow that the coyotes have been feeding on.
