You must be heating it up in the microwave or something to make it smell.
Here's something a chef told me. As long as you cook your fish in the oven it will never leave a smell in your house. Fried fish is what leaves the odor in the kitchen.
So now with a nice pike filet I simply cover with a little shake and bake and pop er in the oven for a few minutes. yummmmmmmmmmm
