Never had any issues in prime hunting time dawn/evening - always seemed to cool down enough. A small little head net and rubber or light gloves made all the difference when cleaning mid-late morning in a bit of heat.
I will say we found in Manning a local resident that rents cooler space - what a break - we had coolers but were really worried about the heat. Called up - got in on a Sunday with the meat (shot day one, hence the worry about the next nine days) - excellent set up - back up - meat hooks in, winched out of the truck and rolled into the cooler....pick up on the way out of town ten days later...
We hunt from a wall tent with our kitchen and food left in a covered trailer. First year we were there we used a bear fence around the wall tent...but zero issues - ever in camp - from black or grizz. On that early season (mid-Sept) bull we shot in the morning - we revisited the site the next morning and grizzly had been on it and buried it already....so they're there, no doubt. But we've only seen black bear during hunting times...
