I use #2 in 3" and full choke for geese and #4 in 2 3/4" or 3" and a modified choke for ducks (of course an occasional one gets the #2s when geese hunting). I've tried 3 1/2" but it's just not worth it, IMO: lots of bang but the birds fall (or don't fall) all the same.
I have also used the Blind Side and Black Cloud and I could not see that much more of a difference and do not believe the value is there for the money asked for it. In fact, after going through half the box of Blind Side on a hunt this year, I switched back to the regular shells and did better (I still have the remaining Blind Side in my backpack).
The gun I am shooting now is a Winchester SX3 with Invector-Plus extended chokes.
