Sandbar is passable just take your time and be careful.
PP launch is good to go but if you want another area to explore and camp maybe try English bay as it is not usually busy at all and also has a good boat launch.

We were out yesterday and the lake did not disappoint at all...lots of 28-30" fish from 50-140 fow cisco's all bunch up on shelves and then you just pick off the lakers....thank god the wind was breezy with a little cloud cover too...plus 30 out...taking the yak out for a go at the lakers now
