Rock Cirkus 1 and 2 at Commonwealth Stadium in 1979 and 1980 and then the first Bowie concert there with Peter Gabriel and the Tubes in 83 were pretty epic. Was not quite drinking age at Rock Cirkus 1 so of course I abstained. My buddies smuggled in a balloon full of vodka inside an Igloo full of orange juice. Things were a little looser at the gate then.
Rock Cirkus 1 was Heart, Peter Frampton, Streetheart, Eddie Money, Trooper and the Dixon House Band.
Rock Cirkus 2 was Blue Oyster Cult, Heart, Ted Nugent, Loverboy and the Rockets.
A lot of the same concerts mentioned above. First was Streetheart in Peace River in the late 70's.
