FWIW, if I had it to do over, I'd probably buy a 270 instead of my 7mm rem mag. Petzal has a couple articles on how good the 270 is. Very similar performance until you get > 160g bullets in the 7mm, and those are most useful on very large game for which a larger caliber may be a better choice. In any case, great cartridge - enjoy!
