I think it was 2006 and I was living in sooke bc. The wind in the Juan de fuca straits hit 220 kph. Sounded like a freight train in the house. 80' for tree's were breaking about 20' from the top and some places on the outskirts of town were with out power for a week. I don't care to ever experience that again.
