Having a wife who is a retail manager I am always being reminding how hard it is to find good staff. Large stores like Bass Pro and Cabelas will always have duds working for them. Finding one good employee is hard staffing their whole store with them is almost impossible.
That's why small stores like the fishing hole would almost invariably have better service.
