Every year I also try roasting the seeds...that never seems to work for me either

Roasting seeds is basic
1 cookie tray
Line with parchment paper. NOT WAXED or TINFOIL
oven set 325f
seeds, rinsed off
lightly salted
Lay a single layer over the parchment paper
Let roast until just starting to turn colour - (roughly 20-30 minutes)
