You blew it when your buddie didnt produce his licence when asked. When a CO asks for your licence you give it to him! ur buddie putting his back up and refusing is a PUNK move and u deserved everything you got.
If I was a CO and u pulled that on me I would have tore you and your buddy apart and wrote you paperwork until you cried.
