If you only plan to do one rifle, go with the kit. But just to share another option if you think you will bed more rifles (if you have more rifles you probably will want to bed them, too -- I know I did). I'd recommend buying the 1lb kit of Devcon 10110. That will do 4-5 rifles for about the same price as a single rifle kit. The Devcon, plus some items you probably have around the house: wd-40 and q-tips to clean up any oozing/spilled epoxy, a plastic utensil knife sanded to a sharp edge to carve off any partially hardened excess epoxy to make a clean line between stock and action, some playdough/plummers puty to block flow, some shoe polish as a release agent and some electricians tape to "gently" hold the action in place in the stock as the epoxy hardens and you are good to go! Some great videos online will make it easier as you learn. Anyway, I know you asked about a kit, but giving an alternative option if you think you will bed additional rifles. Good luck!
