It would look nice to a furrier vs rolled up natural, if he or she was going to try to use it. Fur is always blocked out during construction by professionals.
Generally tails are considered throwaway byproduct, sold by the pound, too much labour to try to block out to use. Difficult fur to work with at best anyways but likely the Chinese clientelle and possibly others would appreciate such flattened tails because some of them do try to work with it.
