Was at Skeleton last week and the ice is about 12" Lots of 6" and smaller perch. Saw a few on the ice in the 8 - 10" mark but it was slow fishing. No Perch for us.  |
I've fished Chump a number of times over the years, both ice and open water
Had luck with keeper size perch 10+ years ago (8-10") but last few years, 6-7" seems to be the norm
Lots of perch in that lake, same with Pike, most of the perch seem to be stunted though from what we saw on our cameras a couple weeks ago. Biggest perch we caught all day was maybe 5"-6"?
I did catch a decent little Pike though, no measure or weight, but I'd guess 3lb'er
Ice was 14.5" where we drilled, walked out about 200 yards toward the island from the public beach, 15 FOW
