Unwillingness to learn and understand does not mean it's a scam.
That sounds like someone heavily invested or trying to talk others into propping up an investment so you do not lose money to me.
There have been fortunes made and lost with all forms of investment, but I think crypto is the biggest pyramid scheme of all time. I believe at some point it will implode and take billions of dollars with it.
