First year bow hunting, first bear and first bow kill.Had a rough start with archery , bought from a big box store and learned my lesson the hard way. After lots of reading and tips from the guys on this site I got the bow to the point I was comfortable with. Put out the bait 4 days earlier , went back in to setup treestands. Managed to get one stand up and ladder to the other.Then this guy come in and didnt want us anywhere near his food. Left went home came back a few hours later with the bow to finish the next stand, didnt even get the stand halfway backup and we heard him coming in. Got up in the first stand and waited within 15 mins he was with a clear broadside shot. Complete pass through. Went about 100 yrds and piled up. Needless to say I'm impressed with the bowtech and hooked on bow hunting Measured from nose to base of the tail was 5 ft 8in.
