I have tried up to 200yd with premium ammo. I think up to 300yd is still doable, but not more than that.
At 500yd you would have to correct for +/-80moa or +/-410", assuming your scope is zeroed at 100yd. Even if you zero it at 300yd and go for 500yd, you still have to apply +/-48moa (+/-250") correction.
Theoretically you can go there using a moa rail scopemount and a high quality scope but is it worth?
