What has been said about heat treating is bang-on. I ain't spending $500 on a knife from a guy who does it as his hobby. I'd rather buy a Grohman or Benchmade for $200, as I'd know exactly what I was getting.

Benchmade Saddle Mountain Skinner works great for me. I wouldnt notice one iota difference buying a supposed step up.
