Discretion was the better part of valour for sure. Too many things to go wrong with Kane. He was pure fire. Full stop. He was also playing with the best player in the world at the very top of his game. Unsustainable.

Kane may very well be the best fit in the NHL, but the risk is too damn big to go long and expensive.

Live to fight another day.
