I've never had any problems hunting in the area, but then I've never had any issues anywhere I've hunted. For sure there is a "granola element" to the Nelson area, but since I ski, bike, hike, and like to drink good coffee, and eat good food, as well as hunt and fish, it doesn't bother me in the least. To each his own.
Which reminds me that I do have a couple of Whitewater ski passes that need to get used up so I should head that way in the next few weeks and tire out the old legs.
