Hope this is allowed, but I haven't gone for stitches in years. Cut my thumb open to the bone a few years back with a broken whisky glass, could lift the flap and see the joint. This is what krazy glue looks like once applied to a fresh wound, but it took a couple of applications to close it. Blood doesn't seem to bother the glue. No sting, no pain - keep some with you in case. Healed nicely, really have to look to find the scar.
